Our Oolong of the Thunderbolt Land is a mild semi-fermented tea, between black and green, produced only in small quantity for Oolong lovers. Due to its digestive properties it is ideal to be sipped one hour after lunch. Oolong manufacturing requires a special technique which happens through repeated foot rolling in cheese clothes during the 15 hours of withering. After that it stays in the dryer for 26 minutes at a temperature of 200 before being sorted and packed by hand with care.
Colour, Aroma, Taste: Darjoolong is a highly aesthetically pleasing tea, with large uncut green/bluish leaves. The clear liquor is of honey and amber almost like nectar. When you breathe in through your nose, inhale the heady aroma of forest fire after light rain. Then finally to the taste, floral and smoky with a smooth but refreshing mouth feel.
Steep the Perfect Cup of Oolong Tea: Place tea leaves in a cup, tea infuser or strainer and pour hot water over the leaves. Steep for 2-5 minutes. Best enjoyed plain without adding milk or sugar.
