GOURMET CHOCOLATE: We craft our chocolate with just two ingredients – cocoa beans and organic sugar. Each origin we feature is carefully selected for its amazing flavor profile and terroir. Using ethically sourced cacao that is roasted slow-and-low and then refined and conched for four days before being carefully tempered and packaged off to our customers.
ONLY TWO INGREDIENTS: To do justice to our farmers hardwork and dilegence to create small lots of beautiful heirloom cacao we don’t add any cocoa butter, soy lecithin or preservatives to our chocolates. Allowing maximum flavor that isn’t watered down by thinners which make for easier chocolate bar tempering but take away from the wonderful character of each cacao we choose.
HANDCRAFTED IN MICHIGAN: In the cool summers and wintery rest of the year Michigan provides the perfect chocolate making climate! Less than a mile from Lake Michigan in our two thousand square foot micro-factory we lovingly craft our bean-to-bar chocolate from scratch using organic, single-origin, direct-trade and ethically sourced ingredients in one hundred batches with high attention to detail and a true artisan touch.
ABOUT THIS INCLUSION BAR: First, we roast the bananas until they caramelize and sear to the pan, intensifying their sweetness. This we blend into sumptuous dark chocolate laced with the exotic, earthy warmth of cardamom. A luxurious take on a soothing childhood favorite.
